Can we order a Wine or Champagne for delivery in Norway?

This is one of most questions our guestes ask us.

In Norway, the sale of alcohol is regulated by strict government policies, and not everybody can sell alcohol. To sell alcohol, one typically needs a specific license or permit issued by the government. These licenses are usually granted to businesses such as restaurants, bars, hotels, and liquor stores, and they must adhere to strict regulations regarding the sale and distribution of alcohol. The name of regular places to purchase the alchohole is "Vin monopole" Or The wine monopoly!

In Norway, the sale of strong alcoholic beverages, such as spirits, is typically limited to state-owned stores called Vinmonopolet. Beer and wine with low alcohol content can be sold in regular grocery stores, but these stores must also obtain licenses to do so.

It's important to note that the legal drinking age in Norway is 18 for the purchase of beer and wine and 20 for the purchase of spirits.
